Christmas Tea Light Stained Glass Workshop
The Course
Come and enjoy some festive glass fun. Learn how to make a Christmas themed sun catcher/ tea light using the copper foil technique and one of the 4 designs.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners or those looking to refresh their skills. You will be taught how to select and cut the glass, how to grind the edges, foil, flux, and then solder the work together. Finally how to clean and finish your work. By the end of the day, you will have created something colourful and creative to take home and pop on the window sill by day and light with a candle in the evening.
The Tutor
Jo Munford is a professional stained glass artist creating original glass art from her studio in Netley Abbey, Hampshire. Jo works mainly to commission mixing traditional stained glass techniques, both lead work and copper foil with contemporary concepts to create original bespoke glass art work, windows, interior and exterior sculptures and yacht replicas. Her pieces are a fusion of glass, metal and foraged wood. Each glass piece is inspired by the wood, structure or space it will inhabit. Glass choices compliment the designs encompassing beautiful bubbles, streaks, striations, patterns and colour fades.
