The Museum’s Court Barn from Lee-on-the-Solent is home to BBC’s The Repair Shop series and is closed for private hire (filming).
Whilst the production team are busy filming for the TV show, the area around the barn is closed to the public, however you might be able to take a glimpse of the team in action. We politely ask our visitors to stay behind the barriers and not to take photographs or film them whilst they are working.
Open dates
We have selected dates throughout the year that visitors to the Museum will be able to take a sneak peek inside The Repair Shop barn.
Whilst the area around the barn is closed to the public during filming, on selected dates you can pop your head inside and take a look at the production set.
The sneak peek dates are included in our Museum entrance ticket, there is no additional charge, but we do advise you pre-book your visit to the Museum to guarantee your visit as these dates can be very popular (members do not need to book). Please note that on these dates the cast and crew of The Repair Shop will not be present.
The Repair Shop team are now busy filming for their next series.
To work around the filming of the show we are able to offer selected sneak peek dates. We will release our autumn/winter sneak peek dates once they are confirmed by their production schedule.
Repair Shop Enquires
For all Repair Shop enquiries, please do not contact the Museum (we are simply the venue) – instead, please contact Ricochet directly.
Please note that the conservators featured in the series come from across the UK and are not resident at the Museum – the Museum is unable to offer conservation advice for the repair of items and unable to accept post or take delivery of items for repair. If you are interested in applying to be on the series please apply via the website: www.ricochet.co.uk/casting/the-repair-shop
For all other queries please contact 01273 224800 or email repair@ricochet.co.uk and liaise directly with Ricochet before sending your items in the post, to avoid loss or damage.
