The Museum as a Corporate Venue
The Weald & Downland Living Museum is set in 40 acres of the beautiful South Downs National Park in West Sussex.
Our collection includes over 50 historic buildings dating from 950AD to the 19th century, re-erected from their original sites in the South East England, together with period gardens, transitional farm animals and a mill pond. The unique site makes the Museum a wonderful location for conferences, team building days and client hosting events.
The exhibit buildings range from a reconstruction of a Saxon Hall House to working buildings of the late 19th century.

Downland Gridshell
The first building of its kind to be built in the UK, the Gridshell is a unique and exquisite setting for both seated and standing events of up to 180 people.
With its shell-like shape made from solid oak, the Downland Gridshell is an architecturally awe-inspiring and dramatic building that is surrounded by the peaceful and beautiful woodland.

Crawley Hall
Crawley Hall is situated in the heart of the Museum’s medieval market square. Surrounded by historic buildings and cobbled paths, this charming timber-framed barn is an ideal choice for smaller events.
With a HD Flatscreen TC, audio and projectors, this space is perfect for meetings, team lunches and training days. Able to adapt for seating styles such as theatre and board meetings.

Greenways Field
With the character of the Museum in the backdrop, immersed in beautiful scenery, it truly is an unique and spacious setting for you and your team to get connected in. The Greenways Field is a completely blank canvas nestled in the Museum ready to spark your inner creativity.
A perfect location for team building away days with an arrangement of activities which can be organise such as archery, falconry and axe throwing. Please enquire for more information.

Waterside Terrace & Café
As one of our more modern spaces, the Waterside Terrace & Café is the perfect location for more relaxed events with beautiful views of the millpond. From drinks receptions to auctions, team meetings and corporate dinners, this venue has a blank canvas to do all.

Court Barn
Our 17th century timber framed barn hosts the perfect venue for more exclusive events. Nestled down from the heart of the Museum, its intimate space inside can function as your personal hospitality and entertainment lounge, whether it’s for your employees or clients.
Situated next to our Greenways Field, Court Barn can be hired as a complete package to provide both accommodation and entertainment space.

Team Building
Looking for something a bit different from your usual team building days? Look no further…
Located in our Greenways Field, our local and trained team of experts are on hand to take you back in time to indulge in a variety of heritage activities.

Catering
When it comes to catering for your function, there is a variation of options you can choose from. Whether it is catering for 10 or 200 people, our recommended list of suppliers are on hand to deal with all of your requirements.
For your smaller meetings, our supplier ‘Fig and Lemon’ can prove you with Luxury Individual Grazing Boxes. These consist of finger sandwiches, sausage rolls, sweet treats, crudities and fresh fruit. £12.92 per hamper.

Drinks Packages
Our drinks packages are fully customisable, dependent on the event. Ranging from sparkling wine, to tea and coffee. Please enquire for more information.

By becoming a corporate supporter at the Museum, you will also be supporting a heritage charity who’s aim is to ‘Rescue and conserve historic buildings, teach traditional trades and crafts to ensure their preservation and share the untold stories of rural life and those who lived in the South East of England.
