How to Care for & Manage Heavy Horses

The Course

A mix of theory and practice using the Museum’s team of heavy horses. An introduction to stable care, feeding, harness and safe handling of draft horses.

The Tutor

Andrew Robinson is the Weald & Downland Museum’s Working Animals Supervisor and is responsible for taking care of the Museum’s four heavy horses and working with them.

Participant Information

Everyone must wear sensible warm and waterproof clothing and suitable steel toe-cap footwear and gloves. This course takes place outdoors.

Fee & Refreshments

£110 per person, to include tuition, teas and coffees on arrival and lunch. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance. Please bring an other refreshments you may need.
