Museum’s 50th Picnic
5 September 2020 – exactly 50 years to the day the Weald & Downland Living Museum opened to the public!
To mark this momentous (socially-distanced) occasion, we invite you to join in the celebrations.
Come dressed in your finest 1970’s attire, experience the 40-acre Museum at dusk, indulge with a special hamper by the mill pond and listen to live music. Enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity with family and friends!
This is an exclusive experience, with only a limited number of tickets available. Each ticket will include entry into the Museum and a special Weald & Downland hamper*, created especially for this celebratory occasion – the Museum’s 50th Birthday!
Be part of something historic – book your exclusive tickets today!
Tickets are £60 per couple (SOLD OUT) or £120 for a bubble of 4 guests.
Tickets include entry to the Museum and a special Weald & Downland hamper*.
Between 5-7pm guests are encouraged to visit the Museum’s historic buildings where demonstrators and interpreters will be showcasing their traditional skills and crafts, as well as answering any guest questions.
From 7pm guests will settle down to their designated picnic area, near the mill pond, with their 1970’s inspired Weald & Downland hampers.
There will be a special guest welcome before the evening’s live entertainment commences. A temporary bar will be set-up near the picnic area so additional refreshments can be purchased.
Carriages at 9pm.
Please email any dietary requirements to [email protected], as well as any special requests.
NB: tickets will be designated to your booking/party size. Therefore, if you are a group of 6, please purchase a ‘bubble of 4’ and a ‘couple’ ticket in the same booking if you want your party to sit together.
If you have any further questions, please email [email protected]
*Hampers will be served in a Weald & Downland jute bag, which guests can take home with them.
