Needle Felting Christmas Decorations
Course Description
Needle felting is the art of transforming loose wool into solid shapes using a special notched needle. Each gentle poke tangles the fibres together, allowing you to sculpt anything from simple ornaments to detailed animal figures. It’s a bit like sculpting with clay only using soft, tactile wool.
As the oldest known textile technique, predating both knitting and weaving, felting has a long and fascinating history. Today, needle felting is loved for its calming, rhythmic process, eco-friendly materials, and limitless creative possibilities. It is wonderfully accessible too perfect for complete beginners yet endlessly rewarding for those with experience.
In this festive workshop, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of needle felting and guided step by step to create a selection of colourful Christmas decorations to take home. This course is suitable for beginners and those with some prior experience.
