Join Green Father Christmas for a Magical Elf School Experience This December!

Guess who’s flying back to the Museum this festive season? Father Christmas himself! And this year, he needs your help to make Christmas extra special.

Step into the enchanting world of Green Father Christmas’ Elf School and take part in a hands-on festive experience where children become Santa’s helpers for the day. Families are invited to take part in hands on workshops, creative activities, and enjoy Christmas storytelling that will fill everyone with holiday cheer. This year it is so much more than a visit to his grotto!

What to Expect at Elf School

• Gather round the fire and discover the enchanting origins of Green Father Christmas. Then, it’s time to get creative:
• Receive your official “Elf in Training” lanyard.
• Take part in toy-making and Christmas decoration workshops led by our festive helpers.
• Present your creations to Green Father Christmas, graduate as a fully-fledged Elf, and receive your Elf School certificate and a small festive gift.
• Celebrate your new elf status with a delicious hot chocolate — the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit!

Dates for Elf School 2025

Green Father Christmas’ Elf School runs on the following dates in December:

Saturday 13 , Sunday 14, Saturday 20 , Sunday 21, Monday, 22 and Tuesday 23

Tickets

• Children age 4 – 11 years £30
• Adults £16.90
• Adult Members Free
• Carer Free carer to accompany a disabled child

Each Elf School session lasts around 2 hours, and includes full access to the Museum from 10am onwards. Please arrive promptly at the session time on your ticket to begin your Father Christmas’ Elf School experience.

Important Information

• Each session has limited capacity (12 children + 12 adults).
• Every child must be accompanied by an adult.
• Additional family members can visit the Museum on the same day by purchasing standard admission tickets at checkout.
• Museum Members can access the Museum for free — simply book a free Adult Member ticket as part of your booking and show your membership on arrival on the day.
• All children wanting to take part in the Elf School activities must have a pre-booked ticket, these tickets will not be available on the day.
• Pre-booking is essential! Spaces are limited and will sell out quickly. When purchasing tickets, please provide your child’s name and age so we can prepare for their special Elf School experience.

How to Book

As we have limited spaces for this activity, we are only able to have one adult per child, but an adult can accompany more than one child. If you are want to visit with 2 adults with 2 or more children, you need to add your tickets to your basket as follows:

When you chose your tickets,

• You can only add one adult and up to three children at a time.
• If you want to add two adults with two plus children, you need to put one adult and one child in your basket for your chosen date, then go back and select the same for the other adult and child and add to your basket.
• Please enter each child’s name and age at the check out, and provide your membership number if applicable to validate your Adult Member ticket.
• You can then purchase all the tickets in the same transaction.
