The Course

Experiment with different types of willow to create a unique platter for display or serving dry foods.

The Tutor

Linda Mills has been working with willow for 20 years making baskets and sculptures. She has been teaching workshops since 2013 when she became a full time basket maker.

She regularly demonstrates basket making at the Weald & Downland Living Museum and attends various events to sell her products, and she also undertakes willow basket repairs and commissions.

Participant Information

The course takes place in the Building Crafts Gallery or outside so participants are advised to wear warm clothes, that you don’t mind getting grubby. Please wear closed shoes. All tools will be provided.

Fee & Refreshments

£50 per person, to include tuition, teas and coffees. Please let the Museum know if you have any dietary requirements. The Museum cafe will be open or you may wish to bring a packed lunch
