Course Description

Let your imagination fly, as you create your own fantastical winged insect. Combine traditional stumpwork techniques, including padding and wirework, with modern materials and methods. The course will provide all the materials required plus a choice of metallic threads and beads.

The Tutor

Caroline Vincent is the author of two books on sampler embroidery, and has an international reputation for specialising in creative contemporary pictorial samplers. Her commissions are held in both public and private collections, and she combines her studio work with exhibiting and lecturing. She regularly contributes to periodicals and craft magazines and also runs workshops at the Stitch & Craft Fair, Olympia and the Knitting & Stitching Show, Alexandra Palace.

Participant Information

The course will provide all the required materials plus a choice of threads and beads. Please bring sharp scissors and thimble, and your sewing glasses.

Fee & Refreshments

£75 per person, to include tuition, teas and coffees. Please let the Museum know if you have any special dietary requirements. The Museum café will be open or you can bring a packed lunch.
