Machines by Dom Chinea Book Signing

Weald & Downland Living Museum celebrate the launch of the Machines by Dom Chinea with an exclusive book signing event on Friday, 8 November at 6pm.

To celebrate the launch of the ‘Machines’ book written by ‘Dom Chinea’, we are hosting an exclusive book signing event in our Museum gallery, with Dom himself.

About the book:

The sequel to 2022’s Tools: A Visual History, ‘Machines’ by Dom Chinea will be released on November 7. Filled with stunning illustrations and lively, engaging text, The Repair Shop’s Dom Chinea guides readers through this celebration of the history and uses of 100 machines that have allowed artisans to create beautiful items for centuries.

If you are a fan of the TV series The Repair Shop and Make It at Market you will not want to miss Dom’s insightful and complete appraisal of history’s most game-changing mechanisms, with commentary that allows readers to get under the hood of inventions that have defined modern life as we know it.

The Event

As well this exciting opportunity to meet Dom and receive your signed copy of the book, you will also be able to explore the Museum shop launch of their new Christmas products, perfect time to get those early Christmas presents ahead of the busy season!

Tickets for the event are limited and priced at £25 each. The ticket strictly gives you x2 admission tickets and x1 hardback copy of the book to the book signing which is located in the Museum gallery – there will be no access to The Repair Shop during this event.

Due to the capacity of the venue we will not be allowing additional guests to enter the book signing event. To book your spot please follow the link.

Please note: This event is not not included in our Museum memberships, so all attendees will require a ticket. Doors will open at 6.00pm. The main Museum will be closed at 4pm so you will not be able to enter the Museum after the book signing.
