The Course

Make a unique leather belt from English vegetable tanned leather using various techniques and finishes with a choice of buckles.

The Tutor

Jon Lewington is a design engineer with a lifelong interest in rural trades and crafts who specializes in recreating bygone leather objects using traditional methods.

Participant Information

All tools will be provided.

Participants are advised that stains will be used, so old clothes and/or an apron are recommended.

The course takes place in the Gridshell, it is advisable to wear layers as it can be cool.

Fee & Refreshments

£80 per person, to include tuition, tea and coffee. Please let the Museum know if you have any specific dietary requirements. The Museum café will be open or you may wish to bring a packed lunch.
