How To Lay A Hedge

The Course

An introduction to hedgelaying. You will learn how to thin out and lay. Working in pairs, the selected material will be cut and layered to form a mini stock proof hedge.

The Tutor

Phil Hart has 25 years experience, lecturing in Agriculture and countryside at Plumpton College, He is chairman of the South of England hedgelaying society.

Participant Information

Participants are asked to wear suitable outdoor clothing. Please also bring gloves and sturdy footwear (steel toecap boots are recommended), and a pair of safety glasses or a strumming / chainsaw hat if you have one. The workshop is designed for up to 8 participants.

Fee & Refreshments

£170 per person. This includes tuition, tea, coffee and a light lunch. If you have any dietary requirements please let the Museum know in advance.
