The Museum’s current project
The Museum is currently fundraising to ‘Raise the roof’ on the award winning Downland Gridshell.
Our Downland Gridshell Building was the first timber gridshell building to be constructed in the UK. It is an iconic building which was completed back in 2002, and we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the building in 2022.
We are now fundraising to ‘Raise the roof’ on this iconic building, as the natural wooden cladding is in need to repairs and replacement to help us conserve and protect this for future generations to enjoy.
If you would like to contribute to this project, you can:
- Text to donate – text GRIDSHELL to 70085 to donate £10 towards our Museum conservation aims.
- Donate online and choose the amount you wish to donate to the Museum – if you are able to gift aid your donation we can also claim an extra 25% from the Government GiftAid scheme.
- Get in touch – email fundraising@wealddown.co.uk to find out more about our current fundraising projects.
Thank you for your support.
