A Bustling Market
Since 2010 we have hosted our popular and bustling Christmas Market which has been a staple for thousands of visitors to start their countdown to Christmas and find that perfect gift for their loved ones.
Over the years we have seen up to 180 traders – selling local produce, from arts, crafts, food, artisanal gifts and much more – ‘pop up’ in our award-winning Gridshell building and around other locations on the Museum site. As well as craft and trade stands, visitors over the years have been able to enjoy festive music and tasty seasonal treats to sample and buy.
For 2021 we are taking the opportunity to refocus our Christmas Market more closely to the spirit of the Museum and create a Wonders of the Weald Christmas Experience (watch this space!).
For 2021, you will find an eclectic, handpicked selection of stall holders, each showcasing unique produce from the Weald & Downland region, each exemplifying the best in hand-crafted, small scale production to create memorable and unusual gifts. Alongside the market will be a host of activities and demonstrations to see across the Museum to kick start your festive season, making it a truly wonderful experience.
Further details will be announced later in the year.
