We’ve a wide range of fantastic workshops on offer! Or perhaps you have something slightly different in mind, or would rather lead your own visit… let us know and let our staff and volunteers support your children’s learning. Key Stage suitability is suggested for each of our workshops, but this is purely a guide; all workshops can be adapted.

The workshops have been sorted into broad areas, encompassing different periods in history as well as the chance to make comparisons across different eras. Or maybe your focus is on the historical skills that enable us to answer questions about our past? We are also happy to offer workshops exploring curriculum areas other than history, for example the science of building materials. Any enquiries welcome – particularly if you can’t find quite what you’re looking for!

All workshops last approximately 1 hour and are for a maximum of 15 accompanied children, so you will need to book more sessions depending on the number of children you want to bring. Taking two different workshops is possible in a day, although we might be able to fit a third one in by negotiation on the timing – currently one running 11am–12noon and the other 1–2pm. Each workshop costs £28 per session (prices held at pre-Covid rates). Wherever possible we appreciate a month’s notice to ensure we can prepare and staff your chosen workshops. Thank you.
