Wrap up warm and head to the Museum for some fantastic indoor and outdoor crafts, activities and stories with a folklore theme this February half-term.
From Monday, 12 to Friday, 16 February children of all ages can channel their excitement and energy into activities located around our 40-acre site.
The theme for February half-term is folklore and we are running an exciting programme of family-friendly activities that changes daily, including:
- Make and take indoor craft activities
- Help create a ferocious folklore creature
- Have your face painted as a mythical monster
- Listen to a fireside story about historical monsters, heroes and unusual happenings
Most activities are included in the admission price. Some activities ask for donations and these are clearly marked on the activities flyer, which visitors can collect on arrival or view here on the Museum’s website.
Many activities are under cover and will run from 11am–3pm. Standard admission charges apply (free for Annual Members). Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Our waterside café will be open, plus there are indoor and outdoor picnic areas. Dogs on leads are welcome (including in the café) and there is ample free parking. Please wear clothes and shoes that are suitable for playing outdoors.
