The aims of this project, which is also being supported by many other funders, is to transform elements of the visitor experience of the Museum from the moment of arrival, safeguard the collection for the future and enable visitors to better explore, enjoy, understand and become involved in the Museum.
As part of the Gateway Project we wish to recruit an Engagement Officer to deliver the learning and outreach elements of the project.
There are also a number of trainee roles available and the details are given below:
The Gateway Project also allows the Museum to further develop learning resources for schools in the areas of science and literacy, and to create and research this material we are seeking the following:
The Museum collection provides extensive possibilities for learning at the Museum and our materials are regularly reviewed. These projects provide us with the opportunity to expand our existing offer to provide practical support for pupils and their teachers.
