Unfortunately, we have had to close our doors once again due to the latest announcement and lockdown restrictions. The Museum will be closed from Tuesday, 5 January 2021 until further notice.

Message from Museum Director, Simon Wardell:

“It is with regret that following tonight’s announcement the Museum will be closed from Tuesday, 5 January until further notice.

“We have welcomed your support over the festive period whilst we have remained open as a green space, however the advice is now clear for visitors, staff and volunteers to stay at home.

“The staff and volunteers of the Weald & Downland Living Museum look forward to welcoming you back as soon as safely possible.”

We will keep you updated via the Museum website and social media channels as we continue to follow the government guidance and restrictions.

Please refer to our FAQs for information about refunds, course cancellations and more.

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy new year from all of the staff and volunteers at Weald & Downland Living Museum.

How you can support the Weald & Downland Living Museum at this time

Your support means so much to us! As a charity and self-funded independent museum, we live off what income we make ourselves. 90% of our income comes directly from our visitors through admissions – sadly, whilst we are closed, this income is lost to us and that has a serious financial impact on the Museum. If you would like to make a donation to support us, please visit our Join & Support section.
