Gateway Project building work has begun!

By 18 March 2016January 13th, 2021No Comments

Pilbeam Construction Ltd moved onto the Museum site on Monday 7 March and commenced work on our new Gateway Project buildings – our new visitor centre and café, which are being constructed on the site immediately opposite the Museum entrance.

The millpond has been drained to enable groundworks at its perimeter. This means that, although the watermill will be stewarded and open for visitors to explore, no milling can take place.

We will post regular project updates on our website and social media accounts, and you can also call us on 01243 811363 or email office@www.wealddown.co.uk in advance of your visits.

We would like to thank our visitors for their understanding during this period of change.
