Interpretation Roles

Freelance Demonstrators
We are looking to engage with Freelance Demonstrators to interpret elements of the Museum’s Collection by sharing the story of our historical buildings and the associated crafts of the era to inspire and delight our visitors. The role will be mainly on weekends and will include delivering short talks as part of a variable daily programme.

The ideal applicants for these freelance roles will have a specific craft skill alongside historical knowledge around the Museum’s collection. The willingness to learn more from existing research of each era is essential and experience of third person interpretation in a museum setting would be an advantage.

To apply please send your CV highlighting your relevant experience to Tracy Rogers, HR Manager at [email protected]
For further detail please contact Lucy Hockley, Cultural Engagement Manager at [email protected]

Interviews will take place early in 2019.
