Wonderful Weeks (throughout August)
Nestled in the beautiful landscape of the South Downs National Park, the Weald & Downland Living Museum offers families of all ages, an enjoyable and captivating day out in the great outdoors.
The Museum’s popular Wonderful Weeks are back for August 2022, offering an exciting programme of family fun and activities every day of the week throughout August. These are hands-on activities with a theme that changes every Monday.
The theme this year is traditional games and pastimes, with a programme that changes weekly and a scorecard to use each week.
Week 2 – Hobbies & pastimes (Monday 8 to Sunday 14 August 2022)
Example activities include shove ha’penny, postage stamp craft, make a finger puppet, create a pressed flower card.

On Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 August, also in a field camp find out more from the Wardour Garrison about 17th-century life, including craft skills and cooking.
Hands-on historical activities change daily, and will be given on arrival for that day. .
In addition, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we have the “Knucker Nature School”
Did you know we’ve got a dragon in our woods? Don’t worry he’s friendly and along with his mini-beast friends has lots to teach you about life in the woods. Join us for a feast of free, forest themed, drop-in activities, available from 11am – 4pm:
Creation Station – modelling, weaving and art and craft activities with a minibeast and dragon theme
Games Station – Minibeast dominoes, noughts and crosses, Knucker the Dragon story trail and more
Investigation Station – learn how to identify woodland footprints, excavate forest treasures, discover the uses of leaves and plants in the past and have a chance to see like a bug with our special glasses.Pre-Book Your Tickets Today
