The Twelve Days of Christmas – Design and Make your own Christmas Decorations
The Course
Why not bring your parent, guardian, grandparent, older sibling or favourite adult to the Weald and Downland Living Museum for a fun creative workshop to design and make your own Christmas Tree decorations from clay inspired by the well-known song the Twelve Days of Christmas. We will learn about the origins of the song and how its meaning has changed over the years and discuss ideas for your own designs. Your tutor will then demonstrate how to transfer your drawn designs onto the clay to make a hanging Christmas decoration. Templates will also be provided to draw around if preferred. Each participant may make up to 3 Christmas decorations. The finished decorations will be left at the museum for the tutor to take away and kiln fire. They can be collected from the Weald and Downland at a later date. The cost of the firing is included in the price of the course.
