The Good Life: Revive, Recycle, Restore

Sunday 05 May to Monday 06 May 2019
10.30am - 5pm

Rural communities were the masters of upcycling before it ever became fashionable; Making and mending, reusing and repairing and looking to nature for home grown remedies were all central parts of countryside living.

Join us for our first Big Weekender of 2019 to learn how to bring a new lease of life to you and your possessions. Hear from experts, uncover the path to sustainable living and be inspired to start your own projects.

Regular Museum admission prices apply and include admission to the show and Museum (free for Annual Members). Children aged 4 years and under enter free of charge. There is ample free parking.

The show will open at 10.30am and close promptly at 5.00pm. The Museum itself will also close at the end of the show for safety reasons.

Visitors with disabilities are advised to read our accessibility page in advance of their visit.

The Museum’s waterside café will be open, plus food and drink stalls in the event’s Food Village. There are also lots of picnic areas too.

Dogs on leads are welcome but please keep them on a short lead at all times. Dogs are welcome on the deck of our cafe and in the first indoor section.

Please note that there is no cash machine on site – although some stallholders take card payments you will need to bring your spending money with you.

If you have any questions please contact the Museum on 01243 811363 or email [email protected] in advance of you visit.
