Nalbinding: Mittens and Socks
The Course
For those that have tried nalbinding before and want to learn how to shape cosy mittens and socks. The day will start with a refresher in working York, Tarim and Oslo stitch before participants go on choose a mitten or sock to begin here and finish at home.
Please bring your own nalbinding needle if you have a favourite. If not, there will be needles available. All other materials are supplied.
Note: this is a perfect companion to our ‘Introduction to Nalbinding’ course running the day before but is also a stand alone session for those with some previous nalbinding experience.
The Tutor
Sally Pointer has a background in archaeology and in museum education. She now works as a freelance heritage educator exploring traditional crafts through practical experiments and regularly makes replica items for museums.
Participant Information
Bring a nalbinding needle if you have a favourite, though there will be needles available to use. All materials supplied otherwise.
Fee & Refreshments
£75 per person, to include tuition, coffee and tea. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance.
