Make a Felt Hat

The Course

You will be using prepared fleece to produce your own original hat. The process includes the use of water and soap, and a certain degree of physical effort!

The Tutor

Hilary Charlesworth is a weaver who lives and works in West Sussex. She has a City and Guilds certificate in Creative Textiles and a City and Guilds Adult Teaching certificate. Hilary is a member of the Institute for Learning. She has taught spinning, weaving, and felt making for many years, and exhibits her own work regularly. Participant Information

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Places will be limited to 8.

Please bring: apron, rubber gloves, notebook and a hand towel. Felt making can be messy!

Fee & Refreshments

£65 per person per day, including tuition, materials and coffees and teas. The Museum café will be open for lunch or participants may bring their own packed lunches.
