Inspired by the Museum: Historic clothing day

Tuesday 20 October 2020

The course

A workshop to really hone your drawing skills by sketching live models dressed in the historic clothing made at the Museum. We will use mostly chalk and charcoal on coloured paper for short sketches, and pencils or pastels for longer, detailed poses. You will be shown various methods to help you break down the figure, how to ‘sight-measure’ with your pencil and how to use tone to create form. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience.

The tutor

Kate Tugwell is a professional artist and trained tutor. She runs a range of courses, drop-in classes and one-to-one tuition at various venues in West Sussex.
