Conference 12 September: Brexit & Building Conservation

Eastwick Dairy in its original location, Surrey

Join us on Tuesday 12 September for our annual building conservation conference. As discussions about the implications of Brexit continue, this year we will explore the potential consequences of Brexit for the building conservation sector – from both a UK and international perspective.

Whether in terms of funding, training, international collaborations and the free movement of people, there are many areas that may be impacted. Speakers will represent:

  • UK-based organisations campaigning to maximise the advantage of Brexit for heritage
  • European universities with conservation studies courses
  • independent bodies who support homeowners in safeguarding their built environment
  • governmental organisations tasked with protecting their national heritage

By the end of the day, participants will have heard pan-European views on this topic, and discussed and asked questions in the final forum section. Each will gain a more detailed understanding of how Brexit could impact our working environments, where opportunities lie and new insights from our international speakers.
