Fathers Day is on Sunday, 16 June and is a fantastic time to visit us, with free entry for all fathers and grandfathers.

Come and enjoy our 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park this summertime.

The Museum is fun for all the family with a collection of 50 historic buildings to explore, plus demonstrations from a range of craftspeople, so you can enhance your knowledge and/or learn about different types of wood and their uses.

Come along to the Historic Life Weekend: Wood Craft and Uses, with plenty of historical demonstrations this Fathers Day.

Discover which trees are used for which purposes. How is this resource managed to best use in the past and today? How do people learn these craft skills?

Around the Museum you will be able to find out about the way wood is worked into the different forms, with demonstrations from a range of craftspeople and displays. There will be the opportunity to meet some of the very talented craftspeople too.

Demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend covering a wide range of crafts and activities, so there will be much to enjoy and inspire for the whole family.
