Book now for our children’s clay animation workshops on Friday, 18 or Friday, 25 August 2017.
These activity afternoons are designed for unaccompanied young people aged 9–14 years. We’ll spend the first 30 minutes exploring the Museum to gather ideas and inspiration for the workshop.
We will then use animation clay (and other craft materials) to design a stage set and figures for the animations.
Children will learn how to use cameras and animation software to photograph animations and will be able to add sounds, titles and credits to their films.
Lara Leslie, the artist and film maker leading the workshop, and members of the Museum team will assist throughout this process. After the session you child will receive a digital copy of their work.
This will be an active session; children should wear old clothes and be ready to get stuck in!
The workshop costs £26 per session and pre-booking is essential.
