Mothering Sunday on 31 March is a fantastic time to visit us, with free entry for all mothers and grandmothers including a complimentary posy.
The Museum is fun for all the family with a collection of 50 historic buildings to explore, plus demonstrations including brewing and baking in the authentic Tudor kitchen, period music, and working Shire horses and traditional breed farm animals. Visitors can enjoy our 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park this springtime with spring buds bursting into life, and see the newborn lambs.
Come along for the first Historic Life Weekend for 2019 ‘Museum Makers’, with Historical demonstrations on Mothering Sunday. Around the Museum you will be able to see beautiful handmade items created using traditional skills. There will be the opportunity to meet some of the very talented craftspeople too. Demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend covering a wide range of crafts, so there will be much to enjoy and inspire!
We hope you can join us for what’s sure to be a wonderful day.
