HMS Victory - starboard bow.

Another leading attraction is Flagship Portsmouth. Enjoy three of the most important warships ever built - King Henry VIII's pioneering Mary Rose, the only preserved 16th century warship in the world, Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory, and the first iron battleship, mighty HMS Warrior 1860. Then come up to date with a Warships by Water boat tour around the Royal Navy's modern warships, including usually aircraft carriers, see how they all fit into 800 years of naval history in the Royal Naval Museum. The Mary Rose Museum contains a unique collection of everyday items and you can compare and contrast life at sea during Tudor times with life on land as portrayed by the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum.
