Find that perfect gift and enjoy a great day out at the Museum! Our bustling Christmas Market sees over 140 stands – selling arts, crafts, food, unusual gifts and much more – ‘pop up’ in our collection of rescued historic buildings and houses, in our award-winning Gridshell building and around other locations on the Museum site. Follow the signs and explore!
As well as craft and trade stands, there will be festive music and tasty seasonal treats to sample and buy.
Pricing will be confirmed in spring 2018. The admission fee includes entry to the Museum and to the Christmas Market, which features stands located within and around our collection of rescued historic buildings. Entry is free for Annual Members. Children aged 4 years and under enter for free.
Opening hours & useful information
Due to popular demand the Christmas Market has been extended to take place over three days – from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 November 2018.
The event opens at 10.30am and closes at 4.00pm.
Parking is free, with lots of space in our overflow car park fields.
Disabled parking is available for those with access needs – this will be on grass and as near as possible to the event entrance. Although we have worked hard to provide wheelchair access throughout the site some of our buildings remain inaccessible to wheelchair users. Please be aware that this event is very busy and although level access and ramps are in place, crowds can make these hard to see and utilise. Please take great care when visiting the site as there are areas of uneven ground which can be hazardous.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead or carried at all times. We do not recommend you bring dogs to the Christmas Market as the site is very busy.
Please note that smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Museum site. Visitors may smoke in the car park only.
