The course

Make a unique leather belt from English vegetable tanned leather using various techniques and finishes with a choice of buckles.

The tutor

Jon Lewington is a design engineer with a lifelong interest in rural trades and crafts who specializes in recreating bygone leather objects using traditional methods.

Participant information

Participants are advised that stains may be used, so old clothes and/or an apron are recommended.
All tools will be provided. It can be advisable to wear warm layers of clothes.


£70 per person to include materials, tuition, tea and coffee. Please bring any other refreshment you require. The café will be open for lunch.
