Practical Flint walling
Tuesday 4 - Wednesday 5 December 2018
A two-day practical course covering:
- Preparation of flints for laying, knapping and setting out.
- Advice on tools and lime mortars,
- Practical flint work in different styles including galletting.
Mark Middleton of Berry-Middleton Ltd and Chris Rosier are experienced in many aspects of flint work, and have worked on many local projects.
Places are limited to 12 participants. Students are asked to wear warm working clothes and safety boots, and bring gloves, a gauging trowel, and if possible, protective goggles.
Fee and refreshments
£235 per person, to include tuition, teas and coffees, and lunch. Please tell the Museum in advance of any special dietary requirements.
