Cooking in wartime

An exploration of wartime cooking and rations from 1939 to 1945, with the chance to have a go at recipes.
Andy Robertshaw has spearheaded numerous archaeological investigations along the Western Front, including an archaeological project focusing on the Somme area ahead of the 2016 centenary.
He is an Honorary Lecturer at University College London and regularly acts as a consultant for the British Army on historical matters. He has also served as a Forensic Trauma specialist for the Norwegian Army. He regularly lectures in North America and Canada.
He has written numerous books, including Ghosts on the Somme, 24hr Trench and The Somme: 1 July 1916.
The course will take place outdoors so please bring suitable outdoor clothes and shoes.
Fees and refreshments
£75 per person, including tuition, teas and coffees. Vegetarian refreshments will be provided, if you have any other dietary requirements please let us know in advance.
