The course

Join us in our beautiful tin church from South Wonston, where we shall sing some favourite carols, and learn some lesser-known ones.

The tutor

Malcolm Brinson is a past chorister of Wells Cathedral school where he also learnt the organ from the age of 13, He was been an organist and choir master since the age of 21, conducted choirs both in Bath and Midlands in former years. As head of music at Alcester Grammar school, Warwickshire he formed a 6th form choir which later became the Alcester singers, in1980, and it is still in existence. In 1985 he became director of music at S. Michaels, Burton Park and his girls choirs sang on regular visits to Chichester Cathedral and local churches. In 1989 he was appointed organist St Marys Church, Petworth, giving regular recitals during his16 years tenure. He took up a similar post in Paphos, Cyprus (2006) overseeing the music of three churches. In 2009 he became a Director of Music at Wisborough Green Parish Church.

Participant information

Please ensure that you bring warm clothing a sharp pencil and a rubber. All other materials will be provided. The Museum café will be open or you can bring a packed lunch.


£15 per person, to include tuition and minced pies and mulled cider or apple juice.
