Learn how to make a basic sturdy traditional Sweet Chestnut gate
hurdle, to go around stock or in a gateway.
Julian Bell is Curator at the Weald and Downland Living Museum, he is responsible for the care, research, interpretation and development of the Designated buildings and artefact collections and improvements to their public access. He oversees the Museum Woodyard and undertakes various green woodworking demonstrations.
You do not need to bring any equipment and all materials are provided. Please wear sturdy footwear and wear layers as the course will take place in the wood yard. Places will be limited to 6 on this course.
Fee and refreshments
£65 per person, to include all tuition, teas, coffees. Please let the Museum know in advance of any special dietary requirements.
