1.Singleton Museum Services Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum and performs the museum’s trading activities. It is incorporated in England as a private company limited by shares under the Companies Acts (Company Number: 1437695). All profits of the trading company are transferred to the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum, being a charity, under a gift aid declaration.

4. Singleton Museum Services Ltd does not promise that products are necessarily available, and all products are offered for sale subject to availability.

The price of the products shall be the price listed on the website on the date of your order (inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which are payable by you). All prices displayed on the website are quoted in UK pounds sterling and must be paid in full, including delivery charges, except where discounts are offered as detailed on the website.

While we try and ensure that all prices and details on our website are accurate, errors may occur. Singleton Museum Services Ltd does not accept liability for any errors and omissions and reserve the right to change information, prices, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order.

5. No contract for the sale of any product will subsist between you and Singleton Museum Services Ltd until Singleton Museum Services Ltd dispatches the product(s) ordered.

6. You agree that e-mail can be used as a long-distance means of communication.

7. Singleton Museum Services Ltd will not pass on your personal or credit or debit card details to any third party.

8. You undertake that all details you provide to Singleton Museum Services Ltd for the purpose of ordering or purchasing goods or services are correct and that the credit or debit card you are using is your own.

9. If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform Singleton Museum Services Ltd as soon as possible.

10. In the unlikely event that you receive goods which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, Singleton Museum Services Ltd shall, at its own option, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question and the postage costs provided that you notify Singleton Museum Services Ltd of the problem within 14 working days of delivery of the goods.

11. Singleton Museum Services Ltd aims to arrange shipment of all ‘in stock’ items within 72 hours of receiving your order. The period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate. Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order. All products will be delivered to the address that you indicate on the “Check your order” page and risk of damage to or loss of the products shall pass to you at the time of delivery even if the products have not been received by you in person.

Any times quoted for delivery are approximate only and time shall not be of the essence. Singleton Museum Services ltd shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the products howsoever caused.

Singleton Museum Services Ltd shall confirm each order in writing by sending you a printout of the order along with your products.

12. Please note that when shipping products internationally, you should be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities and that local taxes may be levied which has no control over.

13. Fraud and delivery address – all countries
In order to protect against fraud we reserve the right to insist that we post items to the billing address of the credit card holder. We do check the address you give on your order before posting your goods to you. In the event that we have agreed a delivery address with you which is not the billing address, for example at your place of work, or at a friend’s or neighbour’s address, delivery to you will be deemed to have taken place on a signature being received at that address.  Similarly if, at your request, you have given us specific delivery instructions which our courier follows, such as hiding an item in a specific place whilst you are out, it is your responsibility to make sure that you are happy with the security of any address, location or person to which you have asked us to deliver.  

Returns

14. Cancellation and returns Singleton Museum Services Ltd wants you to be totally satisfied with your order but if you would like to cancel your order and return the products you must do so in writing (by email, fax or post) within 7 working days after receipt of the order, enclosing or attaching a copy of your order confirmation and your reasons for returning them. 

Singleton Museum Services Ltd will confirm any cancellation by email and will repay to you the full cost of the order (including the cost of products and delivery) within 30 days after receipt of your cancellation. We will not refund the costs of return postage to us unless the products are faulty.

All goods that you intend to return must be kept in good condition whilst in your possession up to and including the point of delivery to us.

Full credit card details will be required for all refunds. These may be enclosed with the return or can be provided by phone on the above contact number.

Refunds will only be made to the credit card used to place the original order. 

15. Singleton Museum Services Ltd terms and conditions of sale may be changed. Please review them regularly. If you continue to use the website after a change has been made you are deemed to have accepted it.

16. By agreeing to our terms and conditions and placing an order you confirm you are over 18.

Definitions

"Product" means a product displayed for sale on this website.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in relation to the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any of these terms or conditions of sale should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
