The museum bookshop keeps a wide range of books on conservation, traditional crafts, trades and related subjects. Many of these are specialist publications that are not readily available through traditional booksellers. Purchasing through the Museum contributes to the Museums income.

Lurgashall Mill, a working exhibit at the Museum produces stone-ground wholemeal flour that is used in the preparation of food in the Museum cafe, for baked products on sale in the Museum shop. The flour is ideal for home baking and is competitively priced.

Post Office

In April 2000 a Post Office was established in the shop to provide facilities for the local village and visitors to the Museum following the closure of the local post office. As well as the usual services, limited banking services with the Co-op, Lloyds and the Alliance and Leicester banks are available. Opening hours are 10.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, also Fridays from early April until the end of October; 10.00am – 1.00pm on Saturday..
