10am to 4pm
An opportunity for those with some experience of lace making to improve their skills, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Eva Falconer is an enthusiastic lace maker who enjoys introducing people to the craft. She can sometimes be seen around the Museum making lace and talking to the visitors about the houses and lace making, old and new.
Gay McCart started lace making over 20 years ago, when a neighbour invited her to join their local lace group. She has never looked back, and has tried her hand at various types of lace. Even after 20 years she is still learning. She also enjoys other crafts, but sadly gardening is her main passion – lace is a real challenge with gardening gloves!
Places are limited to 8 participants.
Participants should bring a sharp pair of scissors. All other materials will be provided, however if anyone has lace making equipment, please do bring it along.
£45, to include tuition, teas & coffees.
The museum café will be open or you can bring a packed lunch.
