A hands-on day to learn the basics of freehand brush lettering and sign writing. Students will paint their own unique sign to take home. The course is suitable for conservators, interior designers, artists and homeowners. Students will finish a panel of lettering to take away (for exmaple a name, house name, number or alphabet).

Wayne Osborne is one of the few traditional signwriters left in the world who hand paint signs. He has been trading as Osborne Signs in Midhurst, West Sussex, since 1994 providing all types of hand-written signs including hanging signs, shop fascias, company vehicles, exterior lettering, gold leaf, honours boards and many more.

The Weald & Downland Open Air Museum has over 45 historic building exhibits.
