Splitting Hatchet In stock The splitting Hatchets blade starts off concave and fairly thin, allowing easy penetration into the wood, where upon the thickening axe head exerts enormous splitting pressure. The small splitting axe, with 1.5Kg. head, 6.4cm face & 48cm textured hickory handle, is ideal for splitting kindling & smallish stove wood. It is designed for one-handed use. Note this axes poll is not hardened for use as a sledge. The axe is provided with a grain-leather sheath with snap fastener.
