Small Splitting Axe In stock The splitting axes blade starts off concave and fairly thin, allowing easy penetration into the wood, where upon the thickening axe head exerts enormous splitting pressure. The small splitting axe, with 1.6Kg head, 6.4cm face & 60cm textured hickory handle, is ideal for splitting kindling & smallish stove wood. It can be used one-handed. Note this axe poll is not hardened for use as a sledge. The axe is provided with a grain-leather sheath with snap fastener.
