Culture24 co-ordinates Museums at Night: this annual festival encourages a new audience to discover culture and heritage venues on their doorstep in a different light.
The Museum is taking part in the Museums at Night 2013 for the first time.
We will be opening the Museum on the evenings of Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May from 8.30pm - 11.00pm for booked visitors only. We will be providing guided walks through the Museum site, stopping to visit some of our houses and discover how the people who dwelt there in the past would have lived during the hours of dusk and darkness. How did they light the dark? What did they do in the evenings? What did the darkness mean to them?
The evening will end with hot drinks and biscuits in our Buildings Craft Gallery.
If you would like to join in this exciting event, tickets cost £15 each and can be bought in the Museum shop, or booked by telephoning the shop on 01243 811020.
