Lifelong Learning has been at the heart of the museum's mission since it was founded over forty years ago.

We provide educational experiences for all ages, from cross-curricular workshops for schools, to short courses in historic building, conservation and traditional rural trades and crafts for adults, as well as MSc Degree courses in building conservation and timber building conservation.

We welcome over 20,000 school children and provide over 3,500 days of adult learning every year.  Our buildings and artefacts, together with our landscape and regionality combine to provide students with a unique learning environment and teaching resource.
