The course will be rooted in critical thinking. It will be interactive, discussion-based and will employ activities to illustrate points.
Dan Sanders' background is in further education for adults and young people with learning difficulties/disabilities. Has worked for 7 years as a Training and Development Officer on Equalities and Hate Crimes, with a wide range of organisations and age groups.
Mary Young has worked as a primary teacher, VSO in Malawi and Bhutan and with West Sussex LEA. Has worked on Global Citizenship: justice, equality and sustainability for over 15 years, initially as Curriculum Adviser for Oxfam Education's England Programme. Currently an Associate Lecturer at the University of Chichester, published author and trainer on Global Citizenship. Both Directors of EDJI Training, a Community Interest Company working on issues of justice, equality and sustainability.
Participants should bring a pencil and notebook.
£60 per person, to include tuition, teas and coffees. The museum cafe will be open at lunchtime or you could bring a packed lunch.

The Weald & Downland Open Air Museum has over 45 historic building exhibits. It is also home to the award winning and innovative Downland Gridshell, which houses a conservation workshop and artefact store, and is also used for many practical courses. The Museum runs a full programme of courses in historic building conservation and traditional rural trades and crafts, along with MSc programmes in Building Conservation and Timber Building Conservation validated by Bournemouth University.
