New Build

February 2002

The new Exhibition, Education and eating area starts to take shape, constructed of 200x50 mm sawn softwood framing and covered in breathable board.

The roof timbers are 200mmx50mm and will be covered with a waterproof membrane that prevents the ingress of water but can breathe.

The Exhibition, Education and eating area is lined with Woodwool panels and the cavity is filled with Warmwall recycled paper insulation.

Roof tiling completed and cladding of the walls with Canadian red cedar begins.

Windows are glazed with polycarbonate.

The roof is insulated with 150mm of insulation made from sheep wool and held in place by wires.
