The daub and then the wattle is
removed and disposed of, the remaining vertical staves will be re-used.


Upstairs the floor boards are removed
exposing the floor joists.

The roof tiles are removed and the frame
and lath construction is revealed.

The complete frame is now exposed

Once dismantled the individual timbers
are removed for restoration to the Museum workshops at Charlton, using
traditional means of transport.
