House Extension from Reigate, Surrey

This building dates from the early 17th century. It was built as a rear extension to a house in Reigate High Street. It contains two main rooms with fine carved fireplaces. The upper room contains the remains of contemporary decorative wall paintings.   The rooms are not yet open to the public.  The basement houses the contents of the painters workshop from the Petworth Estate.
