Barn from Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire

This timber-framed barn was probably built in the late 17th or early 18th century. Originally it had the normal arrangement of a central threshing floor between the storage bays. The reconstruction has been used to house an exhibition illustrating the craft of the plumber and the uses of lead in building and water supply, stonemasonry and stained glass work.  These exhibitions were created and are manned by members of the :

bullet The Worshipful Company of Stone Masons.  
bullet The Worshipful Company of Glaziers
